What the Dog Saw

I love to read.  It's debatable what I love more - reading or knitting.  Last week I finished reading Three Cups of Tea.  I have to admit that the first fifty plus pages were slow, I honestly saw too many names to keep track and the message of the book was most clear in the final fifty pages when Dr. Greg is told that "a village called New York has been attacked."    

Now I'm reading What the Dog Saw which spent the last few months residing on a table next to the bed.  Malcolm Gladwell is hands down my favorite author.

Now the question is - read or knit?

Borders' loss is my gain today!  The Borders up the street from my office is closing.  Because they are closing, everything is at least 25% off.  I've been eyeing these two books for a while now.  I'm excited and inspired by these new books.  Can't wait to start reading them this weekend!

The Trouble with Bookshelves

The trouble with bookshelves is that I have a million books and just filling bookshelves with books isn't stylish.  Last weekend I took a good hard look at my bookshelves, flipped through a few decorating books and magazines I love, and then edited.  The result: a better display of a few of my books, pictures and family antiques.  The glass pieces and books on each shelf create a common feeling which links the shelves together.
